Ruth’s Selling Situation
In the late 1980s, Ruth and her husband bought an 80-acre weekend getaway property close to Clarksdale, Missouri. All it had was a pole barn, so the couple got a travel trailer and began the process of constructing a living space in the barn to turn it into their dream home. They spent significant time on the property over the years making memories with their family. In the early 2010s, Ruth’s husband died – and for a variety of reasons she had no interest in going back to the property or making any more improvements. So the property was mostly unused and ignored until Ruth decided to sell it in 2021. This was Ruth’s selling situation when she met Daniel and Jay.

The team also cleaned up pastures that had been overgrown with invasive trees and vegetation, so that those areas could be put back into production for hay or livestock.
Along the way, the Royal team found a sign made for Ruth and her husband that carried significant sentimental value. Royal owners Daniel and Jay preserved the sign, and then hand-delivered it to Ruth that winter. The gesture meant a great deal to her.
